Seeing as you posted the photo, I wanted to submit it back to you. My friend again did some detective work with this photo you posted and found the exact location thanks to the visible street sign. It was taken in Drocourt France - Intersection of D983 & D143, looking southeast across the intersection. The gun commands on of the western approaches to the town.
